Putting the "index" in "index page"

You will notice that the main index page of this site now features an index. Far too many sites have index pages that contain only boring text and bland content. Michaelv.org is one of the few websites with an index on the index page!

Children's Disco Musical Stories

I've had these MP3s for a while (thanks to Drew Miller), but now you can listen to some of the finest music ever created: Children's Disco Musical Stories. I absolutely love these recordings.
I suspect the background information goes something like this:
People live in India.
Indians wonder (in 1988) how they can cash in on the disco craze sweeping the US (not being aware that they have just ever so slightly missed it.)
They have a brilliant idea: Combine disco music with perennially popular children's stories (Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood)!
Get some musicians, little English-speaking Indian kids and narrator with nice accents, and record!
Release to cassette because cassette is clearly the superior music format.
Profit!

Does anyone else wonder if these children grew up to become call center employees?

FedEx

As part of my new plan to make a concerted effort to post regularly, I am going to provide two examples of why I absolutely love FedEx. I have had an unusual volume of international packages recently which has reinforced my trust in using FedEx with anything of importance. I mention this because I am a logistics addict who now spends his free time on flightaware.com trying to find which FedEx planes my packages are on.

Case 1: International Economy to the UK. I mailed a box on Thursday with scheduled delivery for Wednesday. The result? Delivery in 3 days, on Sunday no less.

Case 2: International Priority from Alberta, Canada to me. Guaranteed overnight by 10:30 AM. Delivery at 10:25 AM.
