(Bochs is an ix86 simulator)

Has anyone tried to install win98 on Bochs? I am trying, but Bochs dies about halfway through the hardware detection phase. I'm installing from a cd image onto an hd image.

I know, I should use Plex86, but I'm lazy and already have a copy of Bochs.

I almost have the hang of DOS. I can use JOIN to make my directory structure vaguely UNIXlike. The only problem I have more than minor inconveniences (like \ for path separators and DIR instead of ls) is single-tasking. I can't get the hang of doing only one thing at once. I'ts confusing and counterintuitive. Any tips?

Most i've heard of running good on bochs was w95, and that's all i've seen
